Visitors

That is right folks we had VISITORS!! It was awesome. Kara and Seth arrived on Thursday around 4:00. That night we had dinner with the sister missionaries, and visited for a bit, and then I am pretty sure we just all went to bed at around 9:30. I know my sister happens to be kind of like me and if you party too soon, or too long then you get sick. I did not want that to happen.

Friday Guapo didn't have work, because this was his Friday/Saturday switcheroo. So, we got up on Friday morning and went for a nice run. Seth pushed the stroller for me. It was weird running without a stroller. It was a good thing I had company because it was really weird to be by myself, but it did make it easier to run. I even sprinted down the hill to my house. I don't really remember the last time that happened. Anyway, it was fun to just run. (It may have also helped that we only did half my normal, and so I had more energy) Either way, I went and did a good job, end of story. While we were running Gaupo pulled out our Camp Chef griddle and started making breakfast. Oh MAN, it was scrumptious! We had hashbrowns, pancakes, and eggs. After breakfast, we got cleaned up and Tia down for a nap. When she woke up, we went to the park. I think everyone had a good time. We swung on the swings, slid down the slides, Seth spoiled Kylee and helped her walk UP the slides, and we built "Castles." Then we came home and had lunch and naps. Everyone took naps. I didn't intend to take a nap, because I am not a big nap person, but I sat down and got comfortable, it was quite, and viola I feel asleep. Anyway, it was probably a good thing I did. That night, Gaupo, Seth, Kara, and I went on a double date. We got a babysitter and the 4 of us went to Rec Center. We went rock climbing and then played in the pools on the water slides, diving boards, water features, and spa. It was so fun. I haven't rock climbed in a long time and it was so fun. I did a medium hard one first, it was hard because it had a part where you had to do a lot of holding with just your arms. Then everyone else climbed, and then I went again and did a 'trail.' It was WAY harder than I was expecting. I had to take a break, good thing I had a belayer (I don't know how to spell that), so I didn't have to start from the very beginning again. Then we did water slides, the lazy river, the diving board, and even the water features in the kid pool. It was my kind of date, and Gaupo was such a sport for taking me and letting me just have at it. It was also super fun to go with Seth and Kara. After all that partying, we went to DQ for blizzards, it was so good. I had an oreo cheesecake one. I had never tried that flavor before (I have tried most flavors), and it was really good they put LOTS of stuff in it. By the time we got home, I pumped, and took a shower I was pooped. Good news is so was everyone else, so I didn't even look like a wimp.

Saturday Gaupo had to work. (Boo) That is okay though because we had a good time anyway. Seth and Kara went on a run again, but I said nope I am all stiff from last night and Tia will probably fall asleep so you guys can go by yourselves. They did take Kylee with them so that was great. While they were gone, I quickly made a batch of oatmeal muffin mix, and then oatmeal muffins. They were really good. After breakfast, we got Tia down for a nap, and Seth decided he wanted to mow our lawn. That was super nice of him and he did a great job. Kara, Kylee, and I watched Seth work. When Tia woke up from her nap, I piled everyone into my civic (really cramed Kara was a trooper to sit in the back) and we went to a community garage sale. I have two great stories...
#1-Kylee's camping chair. I am driving around and I see this little kids camping chair and I decide to go check it out. So, I walk over there and look at it and the lady out there asks "Are you looking for a chair?" I reply, "yes." She then proceeds to say "Well, it is the end of the day, I bet she would sell it for less. What does she have it marked at...five dollars. How about three?" I said, "Okay." I was really cool I didn't even have to negotiate she just talked herself down.
#2 Julia's present. I can't tell you all the detail because this is a gift for my mother-in-law and I don't want her to know what it is. So, anyway I spot what I am looking for and I park the car and go check it out. I see the price she wants and it is a little high for what I want to pay. So, I think to myself-okay, I want to pay X dollars. If I offer her that she will probably counter with five dollars more than that. So, I better go below what I am willing to pay. Then, I proceed to negotiate. I say "Will you take X dollars for this (it was half of what she wanted). She replied, "Oh, no I can't do that." Then she puzzles as I patiently wait for her counter-offer. Then she finally says, "How about X?" It was the exact number I wanted, so I said, "Okay." That thing is now mine, and I am very excited.

After yard sale-ing we came home and quickly got lunch put together so we could go have lunch with Gaupo. We all piled back into the car and away we went. We had a great lunch outside on the patio, gave Seth and Kara a tour of the library, and played around for a bit and then came home. Then we got the girls down for a nap. While there were napping, I worked on making sure the gift mentioned above was clean. Then Kara helped me figure out how arrange my pictures on the wall. Yes, I am redecorating my living room and I am so excited. (okay so I am only redoing and rearranging pictures, but I am still excited) Then the girls woke-up and and we played with them. Then Gaupo got home and he and I headed out for another date, and left the girls home with Seth and Kara. Gaupo and I went to Taco Bell and then to wander aimlessly around Wal-Mart. We wanted a simple fast date and it was perfect. It kind of had to be fast, because I have a really hard time pumping so to do it two days in a row did not appeal to me. Anyway, Seth and Kara had of course done a great job, Kara was even braving bath time with Kylee. So, we finished up and got the girls in bed. Then we mixed up some brownies, popped popcorn, and watched Cool Runnings. It was such a fun day and night.

Sunday was fairly normal, maybe a little later on the get go, but we still got ready for church. Kylee, Kara, and I went for our before church walk. Then we had lunch, and then we had to DRIVE to church. I was kind of bummed about that because I love walking to church.Church was great, and after that Kara and Seth left. Sad day. However, we had a great dinner of soup and sandwiches, enjoyed a beautiful rain storm, and I was able to talk to some of my other siblings.

We sure loved having company and are so excited for this summer. Sorry, about the long post but it was such a grand weekend I wanted you to know all about it.

The girls going down the slide together.

Seth using the slide as a recliner, Kara and Kylee in the sand, and Gaupo just observing.

Kylee wanted to hold Tia and go down the slide.
I forgot to take pictures of everything else. Sorry, the park is all you get.
