A pictures and 3 Great Women

Apparently nothing is going on. I wanted to write a blog post and couldn't think of a single thing that I should write about. Then I thought well maybe I have some pictures. I do have ONE. It happened to be taken Mother's Day weekend.

I got Gaupo a griddle for our camp chef, so here he is trying it out.
We did this little cookout this weekend. The food was good! I don't know why it tastes better but it does. It was a perfect Mother's Day treat. Mother's Day is interesting around here because my kids don't get it so they don't do anything special, but Gaupo does and he tried to help with the kids, and he let me talk to my mom without any disruptions. It was nice. I also picked the meal, and we had Taco Salad. Sunday was leftovers of it, but it was still delightful.

On that note of Mother's. I have a great one. I get to talk to her a lot. Thank goodness for free  Mobile to Mobile minutes. Although, when my sisters were visiting her and not working I didn't get to talk to her as often or as long, but I guess that just shows I am not the favorite. ;) I love my mom. She has helped me grow so much. I love that fact that she never told me, "you can't do that," unless it was an activity that could potentially  be harmful, and even then her response was usually "you can choose, but  don't give up what you want most for what you want now." Man, I hated that statement because most times I knew I shouldn't and when I made a wrong choice I did learn that I had given up what I wanted most for what I wanted now and I was disappointed in myself. Anyway, if I said I was going to learn something, or accomplish something, she never said that's impossible. She loved me through the good and the bad. My mom definitely became my best friend when we moved to Pima. She was always there for me whether it was friend trouble, a hard practice, sitting the bench, homework or whatever she was there and cared about me. My mom is still always here for me. I can call her about anything and I know she will listen and not judge me. She thinks I am a good mom and never lets me believe anything different even on my bad days. I am truly blessed to have a mom like her.

I am also blessed to have a great Mother-In-Law. I like that she keeps tabs on me and even though my parenting style is different than hers, she still likes to hear about it and doesn't judge me. I like that she likes to talk to me and that she wants to know what my kids are up to. I also love her support and kindness.

I am also very lucky to have an amazing Grandma. She really is fantastic. She keeps going everyday even when sometimes I am sure she just wants to give up. She helps me love having a clean home, especially vacuumed carpets and a clean bathroom. She is a great example of loving your grandkids and having fun. I have laughed countless times with her. Our relationship is still good even after I lived with her and my grandpa for two summers. I love watching TV with her, especially the Hallmark channel. I loved coming home from work and plopping down by her and relaxing. I love her cooking and how she never takes no for an answer. I love my grandma. She is the best.

I am so grateful that for these ladies in my life. They all are unique and different, and they all impact my life differently, but I need them all. I need there examples, testimonies, support, and love. They are everything I hope to be one day. I am so lucky to know all of them, and I am so glad that my girls have got to meet them. My Kylee really loves talking to her Oma, and Grandma. She loves showing them her tricks and singing them songs.

Thanks Mom, Julia, and Grandma.

A Quarter of a Century

That's right I just celebrated my birthday WAHOO!! On the actual day, I celebrated by enjoying the outdoors. I went for a run, which was glorious because I hadn't been able to go outside all week. Then we let Tia take a nap and then went to the park. It was such a beautiful day. That night we celebrated by going to Wal-Mart where I picked out the frames I have been wanting. I want to redecorate my living room. Then we went and got Black Jack Pizza for dinner. Oh man, it was soooo good. Even Kylee liked it which I don't know when she has ever liked pizza. Then that night, I went to a baby shower for one of my friends. It was fun to play games and visit with my friends.

Saturday I threw myself a birthday party. I invited 3 couples from my ward to come over and play games and have cinnamon rolls. It ended up that one couple was got sick, and another was running late, but around 8 we finally got the party started. We only ended up playing one game (Scattergories) but it was so fun to just visit about everything. I had a great time and I think everyone else did too because no one started leaving until about 10:30. Anyway, it didn't turn out exactly how I thought, but you know what it was still great. I love good food, good people, and talking so I really couldn't have asked for a better party.

Sunday, we didn't really do any celebrating. Except that because the night before was late for me, I read my scriptures and went back to bed in the morning that was kind of fun. Other than that it was a pretty typical Sunday.

Monday, the celebrating was kind of done, although we did have the missionaries over for dinner and that is always super fun. Then today, we finally got out rec center passes and went swimming with Kylee. (Tia was sleeping in her car seat) It was so fun, and I really hope to be able to use this pass a lot.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures from my birthday, but I guess I was just too busy playing and enjoying the moment to capture it, so words are all you get.
