Well it is official, Guapo and I are homeowners!! Yes, it is crazy, kind of unexpected, and maybe even a little crazy. However, that is what happens in our lives. We closed on our first home on Nov. 28, 2011. The home closed on time, and without a hitch. It was perfect. Sorry, we didn't give much warning about this adventure, but so often you look and think 'oooo, I like this one,' or you put an offer in on one you think you like and want and it doesn't go through, so it is a little hard to share with everyone when your not sure if it is going to turn out.
Anyway it did turnout and we are homeowners. Luckily, the house was left in good shape and we have a wonderful ward. Since we closed on a Monday, Guapo and I had an FHE that consisted of moving all the 'little' stuff into our house. The little stuff included the air mattress, and so we spent our first night in our new home the day we closed. It was a little silly, but so much fun. The next day we got up, and for so reason or another Guapo started putting together the piano that my parents gave us, and so before we headed off to work the piano was up, and in its place. Which actually turned out to be a really good thing because that night is when all of our stuff was coming to the house.

Our First Night |
Like I was saying, Tueday we officially moved in. We had the help of the Elder's quorum, the Young Mens, and even a couple of High Priests. It was so awesome to have so much help. It took two loads to get all our stuff here. So, the total trips to get all our stuff to our house was 4 truck loads, and about 7 carloads. I would say that is actually pretty good, but you are more than welcome to disagree with me. Tuesday I also had pack meeting, so I helped with one load, and by helped I mean directed which stuff went where and drove the car. (no lifting I promise) Anyway, Guapo was left to finish moving everything else while I went to pack meeting. So, at about 8:00 PM I called Gaupo to ask were he was and he replied 'waiting at home to have dinner.' So, I went to our home (how cool is that) and I walk in and there is Little Ceaser's pizza sitting on the counter. I asked "Guapo did you by everyone pizza?" He said, "No, didn't I tell you that J and C stopped by?" Yes, J and C provided a wonderful miracle it was called dinner. I didn't have to dig through boxes to find the soup we were supposed to have, the guys that helped us got food, and Gaupo and I had dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day. Honestly, we may not have that much stuff, but if it weren't for everyone who showed up that night to do what they could to help we would not have made it. So, since everything was moved in Gaupo and I dropped into our own bed that night, and we spent the second night in our house in our own bed.

The Second Night |
Wednesday was the official move-out day. So, after Gaupo and I went to work we came home, changed clothes and headed to the apartment. We spent from about 6:00 until 9:00 cleaning our apartment. However, when we locked the door we were done. It was actually the first time I have ever been sad to move from somewhere. I loved that apartment. It had so many good memories in it, and it was just a wonderful place to live. It was also the first place I had ever tried to make feel non-temporary. However, I am so excited about this house that I have since moved on and now love living in our new house. It still looks as though we haven't quite moved in yet, but luckily there are enough doors, and space to hide all that and I can just do it as I make time. I might want to start making more time though, because in three months we are going to add to our life a little bundle, and I don't need a dirty house when that wonderful event happens. So, I will try to get on that getting unpacked thing.
Besides out house adventure, life is busy with Scouts and work. Gaupo has his young men that keep him going every week. Also, Gaupo and I have found a way that we enjoy working out together, so that has been fun and good for both of us. The only other updates, are that work is going good, and Gaupo's schooling is going well. Other than that life is crazy and fun. Guess what I love it. I love the people I associate with, and I love where we are and what we are doing. Sometimes its hard, and I don't get along with everybody, but the good definitely outweighs the bad, so I can't really complain.
By the way, stay posted Gaupo and I are a trying to get a movie and some pictures ready so that you can actually see the house, but until then you just have to ask about it.
