Terrific and Terrible Two

Well, sweet little Kylee turned two recently and boy howdy has it been fun. We started off her birthday with presents. Isn't that a great start to the day? She LOVED them. It was so good that we did presents first because Tia was having a rough day and Kylee needed something to entertain her because Mom couldn't. We had her favorite breakfast, oatmeal. Then we played and laughed and had her favorite lunch, Peanut Butter and Jam. Then it was nap time. She took a good nap and was ready for more. We let her watch Gilligan's Island and have a snack. She may have even gotten two episodes I can't remember. Then we had Mac and Cheese or Hot Cheese in Kylee's words and Nuggets aka Chicken nuggets. Then we had dirt cake for cake. Only Kylee didn't like it so she had a snack pack pudding instead. She loved her candles and even blew them out once Gaupo showed her what she was supposed to do with the 'hot' things on top of her cake. It was a great b-day.

I love having a two-year old most days. It is fun to watch her pretend to do all the stuff she sees me do. Her Kitty is often taken to the 'park', fed in the high-chair, put in the car seat to go to the doctor, or any other thing she may have picked up on. She plays with her new dishes and blocks all the time. She often sets places for Oma, Papa, Grandma, and Grandpa. She has such a fun personality. I love watching her learn to do new things and observe the world she lives in. She really is sweet. (most of the time)

That said my little girl is not perfect and we have days like today. Oh man, it was nuts. SOOOO much screaming and crying, and doing naughty things. I think she feels attention deprived not sure why, but I think in her mind if I don't pay attention to her almost all the time it is not often enough. (most times it works, but sometimes not so much) I also think she is way done being in the house. She has been inside for almost two whole days. She got her coat and hat on today and told me she wanted to go outside. It was freezing and windy outside. I let her go out, she came back in because she was cold. Hummm... so I shut the door and she threw a fit because then she couldn't go outside. I don't understand these things. Oh well, it is what it is.

So, overall she is a wonderful girl. She has so much love, fun, and ambition couped up in that little body its no wonder she can't be good all the time. I am so grateful she is in my life and hope that she will be patient with me as we learn together. Enjoy the pics of my wonderful Kylee Girl.
